Vasectomy S/O

If you're DONE having children, why is it usually on the WOMAN to prevent future pregnancies? BC etc...

Why is a vasectomy a totally separate option? If we're all 50/50, how can a man just say "Nah, I don't think so!"

I didn't ask my husband to do one. I have a feeling it would result in a major decrease in his sex drive-- something that would suck for both of us. I got my tubes tied instead.

I don't really get it. But i'm guessing since the fact that most of the physical burden of pregnancy is on us so the assumption is that the act of preventing is as well.

If we were all 50/50 they could push a baby out too. I think most women naturally take it upon themselves because they are the ones going through the pregnancies.

If you make ASSUMPTIONS like that, folks are going to think you're a MORON.

We always thought is get tied when we were done since I have sections. While they're in there anyway....well we are 4 kids in and aren't sure if we'll have more or not.

OP made a spin off my post...

Dh won't get one though I wish he would. However, I met the deductible on my insurance so it'll cost me nothing but it would cost dh a lot.
