I've been both and I find them equally hard. They both have an immense amount of stress associated with them. The biggest can be guilt. As a working mom, I wanted to be home earlier than I could be. As a SAHM I find myself feeling guilty of not helping with finances. At work, I felt guilty for having work waiting for me while taking care of my babies when they get sick. At home, I feel guilty that I get so stressed with the crying and lack of enough time to keep them entertained and keep a half cleaned house (same as a when I was working) Work is work.
