What is the most expensive thing your kids have ruined?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
My kids this week have gone insane. Normally they are calm and only make small messes. This week has been crazy. First they broke the drum set to rock band. Then they redecorated my couch and dining table with an ink pen. Lastly my sweet 2 year old left cookies in the dvd player and it refuses to work.
The drum set was an accident.
The couch and dining table wasn't and he was is grounded.
The dvd player I don't even know when she did that.

I think the worst thing was when we bought on of my sons a really nice bed when he was little and he drew little people in permanent marker on it and wrote his name on it.  He was about 3 or 4. We couldn't get it off without stripping the varnish, so we just left it.  It wasn't really ruined.  It just wasn't aesthetically pleasing anymore.

We have 6 kids. They have never broke anything.

They have been taught to respect their things and other peoples things.

This. Only it was our living room tv. The boys were fighting over a toy and the youngest threw the toy to get it away from his brother.

A flat screen tv. Dd threw something at the one in her room.

Just keyboards, thankfully. But I had a couple of $80+ keyboards (and I can only use ergonomic and the particular one I really liked wasn't cheap), so I was a little annoyed.

well he was right.  i have seen some reports on the news that would make you shudder to touch one.

Several cell phones of mine. He would drop them in the toilet or even take them in the bath because they were "dirty"

They have of course ruined things with normal wear and tear.  But on purpose?  Wow I would be so pissed.  My son purposely broke his DS once out of anger and he was so remorseful that he never did anything like that again.
