When can i take the gauze an spongy stuff from my finger. They cut an abcess an packed it, my finger is throbbing an this gauze is really irritating. This was done today

When I had my abcess, I had to go in and have the packing removed every day, the incision cleaned and new gauze packed in. I had to do that every day for 32 days.

Yea I'm sure. But I'm also sure they told you to leave it covered. But it's your body. Did they do a culture as well? Could be MRSA which is highly contagious.
