Teen sex?

If teens are using birth control and condoms and in a long term relationship, do you freak out if they are having sex?  Do you accept it?

If they were over 16, I would be disappointed, but I wouldn't freak out.

I wouldn't want my girls having sex as teens at all, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.  We made a very rare trip to the mall yesterday, and I saw a LOT of young moms and pregnant girls.  I don't want that for my girls.

My kid is still young, but I often think about what I would do in situations like that...best to think about it now so I'm not too shocked later I guess. I know that teens will have sex regardless of what their parent says, I know this because I was under strict rules, and I STILL did it, and I feel that the best I could do, was make sure my son is protected, and that both him, and whoever hes with, are protected, and that no babies will be had until they're good and ready....after they go to college and get jobs.

We don't allow dating under the age of eighteen and we are raising them to be in a loving relationship before they have sex.   My son has stuck to that philosophy and at nineteen has not had sex yet.

I wouldn't encourage it, but not freak out either.
