I took a shift leader position, against my better judgement. It was over a $2/hr pay increase and I was promised certain things would happen, but mostly, I took it because I love our assistant manager and they desperately needed someone.
So fast forward 4 months, AM has been terminated (complete bullshit) and agreements prior to taking the position aren't being met. My resignation notice is in but I have a few weeks left.
So my GM asks me yesterday to swap shifts with her and close last night and she'd close tonight. I agreed and worked last night, no complaints. Today, she asks me to cover her again. I said no, that I've gone out of town. Well, now nobody can reach the day manager, indicating she MAY have wound up staying b/c the GM didn't show up.
*UGH!!* I hate being part of this mess. I never should have taken the position and, obviously, had I realized our AM would be terminated, I wouldn't have taken it.
