Apparently the new thing people are doing is attacking breast cancer before they get it by going for a preemptive double mastectomy ... Is that something you would look into?

Stay away from bpa and other known toxins. Breastfeed. Get lots of check ups. Hack off your breasts? Um no

I'm not sure. Possibly if it ran in my family and I knew there was a good chance I would get it then I might, but only because of my daughter. I've heard of women doing it, an I think it's very brave. I'd rather do that then go through chemo and other treatments. I watched my mother go through that, her best friend, and countless other people.

Depends on my family history I guess.

If I knew I had the mutated gene (somehow I knew) then yea I would. If rather hack them off then get cancer.

BRACA gene as a good inductor that you may get breast care. If I had tested positive or in the future I test positive for pre cancer cells I will have a double mastectomy.

After having a mastectomy the chances of the cancer coming back is between 1% to 5%.

But I would have reconstruction at the same time as the surgery.

My mom had breast cancer at 32.

If there was a huge risk that ran in my family or a very strong reason to be concerned, i might consider it. I'd probably prefer to have routine checks to catch it early and treat it or take action then.

Nope, even if I had breast cancer that would be a last resort for me.

I like my girls to much to just have them taken off.

I don't know, maybe....my Mother passed away from breast cancer (it was stage 4 when they discovered it).  It was seriously awful watching her suffer, I was only 17.  I'd rather chop off my boobs then die such an awful, painful death.
