Are you Rh Negative?? (you might have received rhogam shot during pregnancy)

I decided to do a spin off post to see if women knew why they get that shot during pregnancy. Not all moms will get it, if you are Rh positive you don't have to.
Rh is a blood group like A, B, O... Hence you can be O+ or B- etc
Well if a negative mama has a positive baby she can develop a deadly antibody. Her first pregnancy will be fine, but any subsequent pregnancies can be fatal for the neonate.
This disease is called hemolytic disease of the newborn.
It's important to know your blood type. The reason they give you that shot is to trick your brain to not developing antibodies. This protects future babies.
Yes. I am RH-. I've got the shots in all three prengnancies in the first trimester due to bleeding. Normal 28 week shot. After birth with my first two since they had + blood types. I'm not sure what type of blood baby #3 is until February when she's born to see if I will need another one after her too.
You also don't have to get it if your dh/baby's father is rh negative. Maybe that woman knows her and her dh's blood types are compatible.
The woman in the avi pic is not me, she is my inspiration. I am a wife, a mother, and an aspiring trainer and nutritionist. I love seeing people get fit and healthy to lead the lives they are meant to live.
I had a shot during and after I gave birth with all 4 of my pregnancies.
