My Husband made Deacon (not Pastor) today :/ UPDATE!!!! 11/25

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

and now I have to go to Church every Sunday. This f'n sucks.

ETA: I changed the title of the post since you ladies say Deacon isn't the same as Pastor.

UPDATE: I told him the truth and realize I dont want to be married so Im filing for divorce tomorrow! Yay! No more church & his ridiculous obsession with religion. Hes agreed to pay me $800 monthly in CS, if we didnt agree on an amount, our state wouldve made him pay $1600 so he got off a little better. I feel total relief and cant wait to be single and godless again YES!!!!!!!!!

glad my husband and i are atheists. lol

Seriously though shouldn't you share fundamental beliefs with your spouse? Surely you had to know beforehand this was going to happen. Are you unsupportive because you don't share his beliefs or are you just lazy and don't want to put the effort of being a pastors wife in? Not trying to be mean serious question.

WHAT?? I don't even know what to say to this. Even if you aren't technically the one in leadership, you still are as the pastor's wife. I cant even imagine having a pastor's wife that didnt want to go to church? How did you two get in this situation?

True. My uncle is a Catholic priest and he curses and gambles but he's a great guy.

My pastor tried to fuck me when I was 16 so I am not sure how the combo is so off the wall.  Pastor doesn't equal good.  In my experience, it's right on target with reality.

Quoting Anonymous:

Wow. Married to a pastor with a mouth of a sailor. Nice combo.

Why would you marry a christian if you were so obviously against it? I feel so bad for your husband. Congratulations to him!

Dammit, well, hold out some hope. Maybe you can corrupt him and cause him to fall from grace and shame his good name! Are there any young vulnerable teenage girls in the congregation?
