If you have it, when did the swelling go down. I just got it done yesterday and it's hard for me to eat. I think I'm just afraid I will mess it up somehow. Anyway any personal advice on how you took care of it would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

Mine swelled really bad. When I would eat, I would just power thru the pain. Rinse thoroughly with water hen Listerine and ice the outside as needed. Wash with a mild anti bacterial like the gold dial on a q tip or cotton ball

Mine didnt swell, I could eat within hours. My tongue ring swelled so bad that I couldn't eat for days, I got it checked and the guy who pierced it fu**ed up. I didn't do anything to care for it aside from keep it clean. When (if) you change rings have the piercer do it so it's tight enough, the Monroe is notorious for coming unscrewed and falling out....and for some reason for me it closed up super fast.

If the swelling hasn't gone down in more than 72 hours, you might have an infection.

Quoting m0mmyheather:
Mine barely got swollen. It was fine the next day.
Same here. I had no issues with mine. I have now had it for 2 years.
