there are enough other competitors than bimbo that there's really no danger of a monopoly.  tastee kakes, little debbie, entemanns.  truly, when I think of Bimbo, I start hearing La Cucaracha in my head.

 A few companies have shown interest. Sara Lee, Flower Foods.. A company from Mexico that I am blanking on the name.. Nothing is a done deal and Hostess may be gone, for good. Guess we will have to wait and see..

I find it funny that people are selling twinkies on ebay and craigslist for hundreds and even thousands of dollars, when chances of another company buying them out are pretty good. I dont think hostess products are all gone for good. I think they will be made by another company, maybe have a name change but they will still be around!

I don't know, but Twinkies aren't going anywhere. Every grocery store I know has their own generic version that tastes the same. Besides, if I eat any of that type stuff, Little Debbie is better.
