To send or not to send? POLL

my sons dad just texted me and asked if ds could go camping with him Friday night. Ds is 4 yrs old. It's been 2 yrs since he has spent the night(his dads choice). And it's november so weather isn't that great in the desert(cold nights). He originally forfeited the offered time on thanksgiving and asked for the day Friday and I agreed. Now he wants this. Ugh. Ds does see him, Tuesday/Thursday 3-7pm and saturday 9am-7pm.
Should I try to convince his dad not to take him overnight?

Id let the kid decide. Make sure dad agrees to bring him home if hewants to come home.

I would let DS decide. If the weather is an issue, I would mention it to him.

I wouldn't send him. The dad let his gf dictate if he could see his son for two years basically. He can't just have him when he wants him.

abosolutley not. when he's older and cane make that decision for himself, sure, but he's 4 and his dad has chosen the gf over him for 2 yrs. nope.
