Pretty please! My DD has recently had a boy from Sweden join her 1st grade class. He speaks no English yet and she would like to learn a bit of Swedish.

I don't want to use Google translation at all.

Some basic phrases would be great....and also what do they call the bathroom in Sweden?

I know there is a mom on here from Sweden if you can't help please bump!

I speak a little Swedish.  Some really easy things to say are:

Hej (pronounced almost like Hay)= Hello

Hejdå ("Hay Dough")= Goodbye

Tack ("Tahk")= Thank you

Badrum ("Bawd room")= Bathroom

You might want to rethink using Google Translate.  It will translate full phrases and pronounce them too.  Very handy.   http://translate.google.se/#sv/en/

Good luck and have fun!
