At what age?

Would you allow your child to color their hair? I'm talking professionally colored? My dd is 8 and just started talking about adding color to her hair. I don't think it's a good idea at this age just yet. What do you ladies think?

My mom took me the first time when I was 16. Too much up keep so I never did but it was pretty,

No need to do that before they can afford to upkeep it.

When they ask, I guess. I don't have a problem with it.

Hair grows out and coloring fades. Hair is not a moral issue and is not harming anyone. Therefore, not something I'm going to be an asshole about.

I'd make sure they go to a salon though. Those home coloring kits are horrible for hair, not to mention they look like crap.
