I am leaving my house in an hour to go to the hospital to have surgery.

 fear is never silly and surgery is surgery. Do you have something around the house that makes you happy? Like a trinket or something? Take it with you to hold onto.

HUGS!! Any surgery is scary, and it sucks that it's going to be hard to walk till it heals, but apparently that's the case already, anyway. Just focus on how much better you're going to feel once it heals.

{{{Hugs momma}}} I had that procedure done when I was a teen. It isn't that bad, the first night sucks but that's about it. Oh, and the cast itches like a "mo fo". LOL :)
