We have an elf on the shelf, and usually when he is out our dd pays attention to her behavior around him. she will be 7 dec 16 and she is at the stage where she is very trying with us! her new favorite things to say are WHY and NO and she gives us the attitude along with a few lies.. otherwise she is a beautiful smart and caring little girl. And again this is all fairly new behavior, im assuming it comes with the age and seeing how much she can get away with.

So to my point i decided to type up a letter from Santa and im going to leave it by her elf tonight so when she wakes up she can believe he brought it back. The letter basically states that he is watching and is not completely happy with her behavior, as of right now she is on the Nice list but if she continues with bad behavior she may end up on the naughty list.. but all in all that he thinks she is a great kid and he cant wait to visit our home this coming christmas!

So should i go through with printing out the letter and setting it for her to get or is this too mean? lol

i just didnt want her to get upset thinking santa was "mad" at her but i did my very best to use the correct wording so she gets the point without feeling bad about it.

Well, a little bit of feeling bad about our negative behavior is a good thing.  I think your letting is a good idea.
