Deviled Eggs??

I have never had them on Thanksgiving. I think of them more as a summer BBQ food. And, its not just my family, my EXH's family never had them either. But, almost every post I've seen talks about them. Are they a regular Thanksgiving food in your family?  Is this a regional thing?

I know that my stepmom would make them sometimes.  They are a good side.  I don't like mayo so I make mine with a bit of chive, sour crem, garlic and mix that in with the egg yolk.  I top with paprika.

I've only had deviled at Thanksgiving once and it was served as an appetizer. That year my dh's aunt won a raffle at work and the dinner was catered so it was very formal and traditional food.

I'm in Alabama, deviled eggs are usu a part of the appetizers for Tday and many times there are chopped boiled eggs in the dressing

I don't know where the sunbeams end and the starlights begin; it's all a mystery.

Summer and all holidays. My family loves them. I made 60 (30 boiled eggs) on Tuesday and by Wednesday I was down to 38. My SO told me they "evaporated"
