The urn

Went to Thanksgiving dinner at my friends house. She lost her dad earlier this year. The centerpiece was his urn holding his ashes. So...what would you think about having Thanksgiving dinner with a urn holding someones ashes as the centerpiece? Creepy or not?

I thought it was creepy but at the same time can see how it made them feel better about having their loved with as close as possible. She pulled me aside and asked if I minded or it made me uncomfortable with it being there before we ate. I said no..but it was creepy eating knowing what was in front of me.

A picture would have been a lot better than a urn with ashes.

I wonder what they do if they run out of pepper. I mean it's right there and looks the same.
