I WANT one SO SO bad!!!!  Oh puhleeaaazzzee Santa, bring me a Newfoundland puppy!

Isn't it the most gorgeous dog ever?!

They are so good with kids, incredibly smart, and very sociable.  Only problem is they shed like crazy, and they drool a lot.  I wouldn't mind though, as long as I had a loyal dog that was a good protector.  :)

I like Newfoundlands as well. We have an English Mastiff so we know all about drool:)

It's cute but I have two dogs already and I am getting a cat once they move on. Not like I am looking forward to it; just that I am tired of large animals already.

Love English Mastiff's!  Those dogs can drool a lot though, lol!  They have a good temperment though.  My neighbor had one and he loved for kids to ride on him, it was hilarious.  We joked that he thought he was a horse.  How big is your Mastiff?  I've heard the males can get to be over 200 lbs?

I am concerned about the size of the Newfoundland though.  I only weigh 110 lbs.  I've heard a Newfoundland can reach 150 pounds, if not more?  That's a whole lotta dog, you know?  But, I've heard they are really sweet, so the size isn't an issue.

Here's my Monster with her fur "Auntie", my parents' rottie Roxie:

My mom was downstairs doing the dishes and realized they both got quiet while watching a movie.  She found them curled up together asleep.
