The lorax offended me

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
In the opening music scene, they sang a verse that says " we thank The Lord for all we've got". I'm not Christian so I turned the movie off immediately. I don't want that crap crammed down my children's throats. Why can't they just leave that out of it???

The Lorax isn't really a religious movie.... At all.

I mean I'm all for each religion having their owned themed movie, but they should warn you

Dafuq? I didn't catch that, I doubt my kiddo did. Even if she did she is exposed to Christianity at family functions. Just because you expose them to other religions doesn't mean they will go down that road, in fact it is encouraged that you expose them to many religions and guide them to finding their own personal religion.

Heaven forbid you teach your kids that everyone has different beliefs and to be tolerant of others!
THEY thank the Lord, doesn't mean you have to!
How exactly is it being crammed down your kids throats? Do they have to believe as you do or can they from their own religious opinions?

Yeah because that would be such a tradegy if your children believed in God.

Then why did they sing that verse? They could have said " we are thankful for all we've got"

Oh, I do wish my life was so boring and easy, so problem and worry-free that I actually needed to go out of my way to find crap to be offended about, lol
I envy you!
