I don't see it being any different than a dish washer or even a washing machine and dryer.

I told DH he needed to invent a Roomba-type thing that cleaned up dog poop in the yard. Now THAT would be awesome!

And I wouldn't consider it lazy.. you still have to sweep what it misses, etc.. and the time you use to spend doing that, you (as a parents) typically have other chores that fill that voided time.
