Fathers Who Don't Help out REALLY Piss Me Off

after all, they helped make the baby, what is so fucking hard about changing a diaper or feeding YOUR child??? What's so fucking hard about helping out with meals/dishes/laundry?? WHY do you think the mom has to do it all??

edit to add:  if you are breastfeeding, and not co-sleeping, does your husband get out of bed to bring you baby so you don't have to get up?

I love it when you see dads complaining about "watching the baby". How can you "watch" your own child? You're not babysitting lol.

May not work for you, but in our house all are ok with that arrangement.
He isn't a baby person, but loves the toddler years.
I love the baby years but can't stand the toddler years.
So it works!

I hate when men say they're "babysitting", no dummy, that's YOUR baby, that means you are "parenting"! ugh, infuriates me too.

*my dh is pretty good with sharing the responsibilities and being hands on with the kids. I don't know what I would do with a husband that wouldn't pitch in, but I'd not have ever married a man like that if I detected it anyway.

Because they are lazy and want to act like children. My dd will be one thursday her "father" has never changed her diaper because he has a sensitive stomach, or at least thats his bs excuse.

I couldn't live like that. Dh helps out with everything including taking care of our two kids that aren't biologicaly his, I divorced biodad after I was tired of working, cleaning, cooking, & parenting with no help from him.

so you're saying when you came home from the hospital, you had no problem fixing meals, doing laundry and everything else around the house while still tending to a newborn after just giving birth yourself?

I planned ahead. Had freezer meals ready.
I didn't marry a slob so there was almost no cleaning to be done for the first few days while I got in a routine.
It wasn't an issue.

I married a man so feeding a baby is just a little tricky since his breasts don't make milk.

He'd help with housework if I wanted him to but I don't expect him to do my job anymore than he expects me to do his.
