My husband had bad credit. I didn't even know his credit when we got married. Doesn't change anything and I'd marry him again even knowing he had bad credit.

Why doesn't he pay them on time?

No! If he can not be financially responsible how will it be any better with 2 of you??? People need to discuss and get all there financial issues out in the open BEFORE they get married!!

After they correct the credit issue. I know a couple who put off engagement until they both had good credit scores. It's a good idea to me.

Hmmm I would want to see an improvement of responsibility and if he was working on improving it then yes

no he keeps filing bankruptcy & starting over

Quoting Anonymous:

Probably. It depends on where he's at in his life now. Has he paid off all debt? Is he working on building his credit?

Yes, I did. We worked together to repair his credit and now he has a great job with the federal government and we bought a house a couple months ago. If you love someone that much then their credit score shouldn't stand in the way.

Absolutely not. My love is completely based on credit scores and income

My credit score is worse than that. :-/

When I married my ex it was immaculate. Never a single late payment, great history, etc. Then he fucked me over the course of our marriage. I trusted that he was paying bills.......not that he was taking out card in my name, running them up, and never making a payment. The final nail in my credit coffin was him writing over $2k in hot checks out of MY account to pay for his gambling addiction.

I'm slowly working on trying to rebuild everything now, but finding anyone willing to take me on as a risk has been hell. The only way I was even able to get my rental house is because it's my sister's; and she flat out told the property management company to put me in it. :-/

Guess it's a good thing my S/O loves me, not my credit score.
