Question for the tattoo Mama's

I got a 22yr old tattoo touched up on Wednesday and it is itching like crazy.  I just can't stand it! Any ideas of what I can use that might help? I also got a new tattoo that is much larger than the old one.  It is a bit painful but not itchy. Although I do have nerve damage where the larger one is so maybe that's why that one's not itchy.

Cocoa butter. Just make sure that whatever you put on it is unscented or it will sting like a mofo.

A&D Do NOT use a lot. Use the BEAR minimum to spread it on the tattoo.

Definitely no scratching. That's just begging for an infection.

Don't scratch but if you lightly smack it the itching should stop plus use A&D

The guy that does my tats has always told me to use an unscented lotion on them. Just a very light amount.

Virgin coconut oil. I'm heavily tattooed and I've tried it all. Nothing works better IMO

I've always used A&D ointment and never had too much of an issue.  Itching means it's healing, as far as I know.
