When is your LO no longer a baby?

Posted by   + Show Post
I've seen posts where people have argued "oh he's just a baby" when talking about a 4 year old. But then again I've seen people say "That's not a baby that's a toddler" referring to a 1 year old.

I know as moms our babies will always be our babies...

But what do you consider no longer a baby.

When they start toddling (walking) then they are a toddler.

I totally agree- I'm just saying someone on here had this argument with me.

That's why I remember it. ;)

Quoting jessi2girls:

oh for fsakes!!! Seriously?!?! LMAO  Oh the things people choose to get offended by are laughable!

Dictionary definition of kid:

1-informal use of term: children

LMAO..

Quoting achorney:

Oh, i remember this argument!

Goats have kids.

People have children.

Quoting jessi2girls:

okay.... and "kids" is offensive why???

Quoting jessi2girls:

my kids will always be my babies.. lol.

But after 2, is when I feel they are more toddlers instead of babies.. at 4 they are kids.

Just gotta jump in with something completely pointless. I don't have "kids". I have children.

I consider them babies until they are teens at least. I don't know if my son will ever NOT be my baby though. Like, I'll always feel like I need to protect him and take care of him as if he's still helpless and tiny.

My DD is 18 months. I don't consider her a baby anymore. :(

I have been trying very hard to stop calling DS a baby.  He is 17 months old, but he will be a big brother in April and I don't want him to think the baby is replacing him.  I think he will officially be a toddler Christmas Eve when he hits 18 months, but he has definitely been getting into toddler trouble since he turned 1.

My almost two year old and one year old will be a baby until they can feed themselves without my help and go to the bathroom without any help :) then they'll always just be MY babies <3

My baby is 6, she's starting to look like a little girl (getting tall so fast) so I think she's not my baby anymore
