calling in sick tomorrow to work but not sick... when to call?

I want to call in sick tomorrow, and was thinking of saying I had food poisoning, so when I look great on Wednesday it won't be suspicious. When should I text to say I am sick?

You don't have to give any explanations if you have sick time. Just call at least 1 hr before your shift and say you're taking a sick day. Simple. No lies to keep track of or embelish.

Have you ever called in before? Because the same time you'd call in if you were really sick. Just so you know, food poisoning is waaay over used!

I would say to call and not text. I personally would get very pissed if someone called out via text and it would make me question them calling out. And you don't want to get specific over an illness. There are lots of people getting 24 hour bugs with fever, vomiting, etc. Just call them and tell them that you woke up a few times through the night puking and you have a fever.
