Mohawk for a young girl?

Would you allow your young DD to get a Mohawk? Not a Faux, but a real one. Like cut/buzz/shave the sides of her head-Hohawk?

DH and I were discussing this this morning. I said no. He said it wouldn't be fair because I let DS get one. And while I am not a fan of having different rules, I will not buzz my daughters head. lol He said that makes me a hypocrite.. lol

This may be true, but I'm still not cutting her hair.

BTW, this was purely hypothetical. DD is only 19 months. lol

Shoot, my baby has a natural Mohawk. I say yes, as long as it looks like a jaw-length bob when not put up.

lol that's right! I will support whatever she does (as long as it's healthy choices of course), but damn I love hair and would hate to see her do something silly with it, like a mohawk!!

Not at such a young age. When dd is a older teen and able to think it thru for herself whether she really wants the kind of attention it would bring then she can do what she wants with her hair (as long as it is something the school will allow and I dont think they allow mohawks...lol). Just think how embarrassed your dd would be if you did it and when she grows she brings home her first bf who wants to look at photo albums....awkward!

LOL. I know someone that did allow her young (Elementary school aged) kid to get a Mohawk and even dyed it. Now dye.. that's a whole new post. LOL NOT.GONNA.HAPPEN. lol

My DD has long thick hair. I love it. .

oh wow... I would never allow dye until she is in middle school or even high school... no way! Now I am okay with the temporary colors that wash out after one or two washes, but that's it.

It Will probably be like me looking back at old photos of my parents and aunts and uncles and laughing at what was 'in style' back then.
