Exactly! Also people don't understand that not seeing BF in our culture is one of the biggest barriers to a successful BF rate.

And I don't want to see you stuffing your face with table food! Be discreet. (now I don't really mean that as meanly as it sounds. I said it that way to make a point). Vegans don't want to see people eat meat. So if we go off this we should be doing EVERYTHING we do discreetly.

Quoting Anonymous:

Everything the body does is natural but with many of those acts people expect discretion.

I don't want to see you attempting to procreate, I don't want to see you peeing or pooping. All of which are completely natural and what their respective body parts were created for. And I also don't want to see your boob while you are nursing.
BE DISCREET

Yeah because it's natural and that's the way we were meant to feed them.
You must've been molested or something. You're nasty.

Yeah well natural is also growing hair in your armpits and in some cases, facial hair, but I bet you shave. So don't use the natural excuse unless you do EVERYTHING that way. And no, I wasn't molested. It almost happened but I ran from him.

I don't believe it is a "disgust for boobs". What I truely think makes most people dislike NIP, no matter the age of the child, is the fact that breasts have become a sexual image. And as much as we allow catalogues, movies, music videos, pictures, posters, etc, into our lives FULL of naked, mostly naked, semi naked, bra-less, pushe up, perky, nippled breasts into our lives... We no longer see them as feeding tools. We see them as toys, things to ad to the turn on of sexual pleasure and no one (unless they have a fetish) wants to see boobies in a babies mouth. :( sad really. But true.

Or so this is what my dh says.

So true!!!!

Quoting MorganTho:

All of those things you mentioned are illegal in public, whereas nursing is protected BY LAW. Get over it.

LOL. I'll have to remember this the next time someone's on a rant about BFing in public.

Nothing like being ashamed or bothered by your own anatomy. How do people like that reproduce?

In the book "So that's what they're for", the author describes a situation in The Middle East where a dr walked into a lactation room to find several Muslim women nursing openly. When he entered they all scrambled to dress before him. But ONLY to dress their heads!! They left their boobies out. Why? Becuz it's natural. Since the dawn of time, it's been natural. If we start hiding the fact that feeding our babies from our breasts is bad, that's how the next generation will grow up! Boob-less.

And if you are SO upset w/ seeing a mommy breastfeeding, u better never watch a movie with nudity, no porn, no erotic novels (no fifty shades of grey for u), no music videos, no Victoria's Secret, no Fredrick's, no nada!! Becuz I see a hell of a lot my tit hanging out every where else ad very little from a BFing mother.

Wait. I hate breasts because I don't want to see a stranger's huge areola and veiny, engorged boob in public? Keep telling yourself that.

I have been known to go au natural on a few occasions. But, I do love getting laid, so I decided it wasn't for me. Lol.
And ur point is still mute. As a women who was molested and raped as a child, I still proudly bf my baby in public. My boobs. That's the funny thing about it, I get to do what I want with them when BFing my child. :)

And if BFig in public offends u, please remove all nudity from ur life other than in the bedroom. As, it's isn't "natural".
