Do your districts high schools teach APA and or MLA?

I went into university having no idea how to write a paper becase my district decided to start teaching APA and MLA the year after (I graduated in 2010) luckily the teachers were understanding (only two people even knew what they were)
I didn't even know such things existed lol

Really only one? That kind of puts a lot of students at disadvantage especially since health and human services, pcsycology and sociology are pretty popular courses.

yup I graduated hs in 2005..dunno if that matters. but all i ever learned was MLA..have no idea what APA is lol

Its very similar. You just cite a bit differently and you put your name and title and such on a title page. You also add a running head.

I didn't learn either one in high school, but I had to use MLA in grad school (I don't remember for undergrad). You can find guides doing a Google search, and Office will set up your references for you.

When I went to college I had no idea what apa and mla was. In English 101 I learned APA format. When I went on to my major and had to write papers it was always in MLA. I couldn't catch a break! lol
