YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TOUCH THE ELF!

(Except when you - the adult - are moving it to a new location after the kids are asleep.)

READ THE BOOK FIRST! It serves as an important instruction manual.

That way, you don't come on here and post pics of your kids holding their new elves, and delete the post after you get called out for messing up.

That is all. Carry on.

Our elf fell, my ds freaked out crying that elfie is dead if we put him back. :/

I told him that it is ok if moms or dads do it to help him.

The not touching him thing sucks lol

Someone explain this to me please. It sounds cute & fun but I have NO idea of how this works or what's the main idea.

Thanks in advance :)

Can someone explain why? I'm curious.

If the kids touch them, they can lose their magic, and then they won't be able to come back. It's mostly to keep the kids from playing with them, and damaging or losing them.

I think my kids are too big for elf on a shelf. :( I considered getting it because my youngest is 7 but I'm not sure.
