Why is it the major trend to spell common names so crazy? My friend named her son Jaxun and then just now I saw the post that is Aleksander? The names are nice names but spelled odd. If you did this or will do it, did you think about as they get older and become professionals? Anyone can deny it but there is a first impression when a name is read. If there was a doctor or lawyer with the name Aleksander I'd honestly skip over that one. I know everyone is different but we named our son a n ame that would be taken seriously. I've had this conversation with many people from different backgrounds and cultures. The only reason I've been given is they wanted them to be different.
I can definitely understand culturally different. The wacky tacky I'm talking about. :)
I read replies of the Aleksander post and I had no idea it was Russian, however MOST of the wacky names are just people spelling them oddly
