That's silly. Sometimes it is nice to vent.
I don't complain about things I wouldn't also say to him. But sometimes I like to grumble; it makes me feel better.

I agree with this. I wouldn't do well if the tables were turned, I would find it disrespectful and my feelings would be hurt. "do unto others" and all that....
