I'm a sahm and have been for the 6years my husband doesn't have life insurance and he needs it (we need it) what is the best plan?

Check out policies offered by your bank and through insurance companies you already use (home/renters, car) since you may be able to get a multiple policy discount.

Also, providing your state could be helpful as some companies are regional

I honestly don't remember. We have had it for awhile now. Over 5 years.

We have MetLife.  300,000, 10years, $15/mo for me $30/mo for DH.

Term life is the cheapest, and covers you for the duration you need it to. Like the next 20 years for example, by then maybe your kids will have graduated university. You pay for that period only, you get nothing after that period expires...life insurance is more like an investment. It doesnt expire.

I have two through Prudential. My ex husbands, that I bought, is $140k and I pay $40 a month for it. Mine is $100k with stocks and its $55 a month. I can draw on my stock money anytime I need it. His would have been worth more but he failed his health exam because he's too fat with high cholesterol.
