What's the deal about preteens & teens (12 & up) drinking coffee? I mean, my parents never told us we couldn't and I've been drinking it since I was 10, it never hurt me or my siblings.
I have seen parents give their Kids , pepi, coke, mountain dew etc. And that's ok. Mountain Dew has a ton of caffeine in it, so why is that ok, but coffee is so wrong. At least the coffee has some health benefits.
And for kids who have ADHD or other issures it can be a help. I have bad allergies and my brother has asthma. When we were kids we'd drink coffee to help with the symptoms.
That's my question. Why do you think some parents give kids other drinks with sugar, corn syrup and caffeine, such as Mountain Dew, etc, But Coffee is a big no no ?
I'd let my kids drink coffee before any type of soda, but it does have addicting factors. So, I'll try to hold them off as long as I can. The same with soda.

My son is 2 so no he can not have coffee lol he is already bouncing through the house. But he also doesn't drink soda except maybe a little sprite here and there. When he is older I won't have a problem with him drinking coffee I love coffee and also drank it as a teen
My 1 yr old gets a little coffee now and then. It helps him sleep
At times he even shares a cup with the school officer in the morning.
My kids drink coffee, I have no issue w/it.
I would rather them drink coffee than soda.
my kids hate coffee lol they always ask for a sip then make these twisted up little faces and say ewwww. i try and tell them that its going to taste the same every single time but they dont listen.
