That was a question I was asked this morning at work. And my answer is because it is fun and Because I want to. That was not a good enough answer for the crazy old lady that works with me. She is a bible thumper is is always trying to convert me. Not gonna happen I have my beliefs and she has hers she just doesnt like mine lol. So for all of you Why do you Celebrate Christmas if you do not believe in christ??

Thank you all for your replys. I will never question this lady because it is alosing battle and I have to work with her and only one other person so i can not get away from her so i usually just try to ignore her i just wanted to pose this question to you guys and see what  you had to say. You usually have some interesting things to say.

Well, Christmas IS fun.  Celebrate on.

Because it's tradition and for millions of people worldwide, it's basically a secular holiday. Because no one owns the holidays.

Because Christmas was never about Christ.

Start telling her how most Christmas traditions have Pagan roots. Go into detail. That'll shut her up.

Because Santa is fun and it is just tradition. You don't need to be Christian to celebrate Santa

For the traditions, memories, the fun.  For me and my family, Christmas has nothing to do with christ.  We celebrate it anyway, simply because we can and we want to.   :)
