One of the hospital's chaplains came up to see Sophia. She was an older lady, probably in her 60's. After chit chatting for a while, talking about what our end of life plan is for DD (she's terminal), she asked if I had any religious affiliation (A common question). I told her I'm pagan, and she said "Oh, no wonder your little one is sick."....WTF?! I damn near leaped out of my chair. I gave her a death glare and said "You need to leave this room. Now.". She went wide-eyed and quickly left the room. The nurse overheard and apologized profusely for the chaplain's behavior.
What the hell made that old bitch think that was an appropriate thing to say? I will be filing a formal complaint in the morning.
