When a man was pushed onto the subway tracks, instead of helping the man ( who was trying to climb out) as a train approached a new York post photographer snapped pictures instead of grabbing his arm and pulling him out.
The man died when the train hit him. The post then put that picture on the front page.

The photographer says he took the pictures in the hopes the driver would stop.

Yea and if you look at the people in the background. A few are also taking video or pictures with their phones.

its sad and terrible. I lived in NYC many years and took the subway uncountable times. Sad what happened to him and to think that it could have been me and no one would have helped. There are a lot of bad people out there. Unfortunately there are many people like "me? why should I help?".

I don't know how far away the subway train was from the platform but those trains come fast. I'm not sure if there was enough time to pull him up. The conductor went into shock and was taken away by paramedics.

The photo is just horrific. I take the train to work and can't imagine seeing someone pushed. My first instinct would probably be to run for fear of being pushed by a madman. I think when something so horrific happens people go into shock. It is sad that nobody came to his aid.
