The man died when the train hit him. The post then put that picture on the front page.
The photographer says he took the pictures in the hopes the driver would stop.
its sad and terrible. I lived in NYC many years and took the subway uncountable times. Sad what happened to him and to think that it could have been me and no one would have helped. There are a lot of bad people out there. Unfortunately there are many people like "me? why should I help?".
What a stupid thing to ask.
Did she say she would take a picture instead?
No, she said she would scream for help.

Would you take pictures instead?
Quoting Anonymous:
This. I'm not strong and chances of me falling in are too great. I'd scream for help though.
So sad.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't help him out.
I'd be too afriad he'd accidentally pull me in with him.

I would be scared. But the man who pushed him fled after he pushed him. The two were fighting beforefore he was pushed in.

The photo is just horrific. I take the train to work and can't imagine seeing someone pushed. My first instinct would probably be to run for fear of being pushed by a madman. I think when something so horrific happens people go into shock. It is sad that nobody came to his aid.

Isn't there some sort of law about stuff like this?
I can't imagine there is a law out there saying you have to help someone by putting your own life at risk.
