Oh I know! I'm teaching my 2 year old what sound letters make. How do I explains that c can make the same sounds as k and s?

Quoting Anonymous:

You know what is funny, too? My son is five and in Kindergarden. One one of his sight word lists was the word 'to'. He kept arguing with me that 'to' doesn't have an extra 'o', so it's not really the word 'to'. How do you explain to a five year old there are several different ways to spell words?

Boy, it was fun doing with him, though. :)

Nope, you summed up the entire English language in a few sentences. It is all covered now. We should be good.

Lol, all in a day's work

It was on my final exam for my MSN (I got it wrong). I thought it was an RN because you can us "an" when the first letter sounds like a vowel. RN is not prounced "our-N". It's a "R" as in registered.

Our (hour) English professor said this was a huge misconception and most people get it wrong. Only one student got it correct, she was from Canada, go figure.

I was a registered nurse. I was an RN.

Quoting Elyce225:

I was a RN not an RN. I would like a pet elephant, not an pet elephant.
