I went to the store tonight and grabbed some cookies for my daughter's school tomorrow and when the lady rang me up, she only charged me for one thing of cookies (I had 2...plus a few other things). Once I realized that, I said something and she then rang up the other cookies. My dad was with me and as soon as we got out to the parking lot he starts going on and on calling me "Miss honesty" and saying how he can't believe I said something, and that I could've had free cookies.

It made me curious how many other people would do the same.

Would you say something or just ignore it and go home with free cookies?

I say something everytime. This type thing has happened more than once. I just wouldn't feel right. Like I was stealing.

Depends on if I actually notice.

If it's not a hectic time at the check-out, I would catch it and say something. If it's chaotic, I probably wouldn't notice.

I always say something.  my kids eat through the grocery store, and I always hold on to the empty deli container (fruit salad) and the empty bakery bag (donut) so I can pay for it when we get to the front.  I also point out every 12 pack of soda that's on the bottom of the cart, and pat down my daughter to make sure nothing got stuck in the front of the cart.  heck, we came across an innotab in a rental car last week and my first reaction was "someone's kid is going to be awful upset when they can't find that".  we dropped it back at the rental agency before we even ran our errands.

so no, no free cookies here.

I would not say anything.
Once at Walmart, they didn't ring up a 300$ suround sound....we didn't say anything. We got it for free. No I do not feel bad.

I'd feel guilty. It's the same as stealing in my opinion.
