Tears of joy.

If u read some of my past post you'll know that dh has a drinking problem. Tonight he went to an AA meeting by his own choice, and has been sober 3 days. 3 DAYS!!!!!! He admitted he's been withdrawing from alcohol. I'm in shock. I'm not holding my breath on the permanency just yet, but it doesn't hurt to hope!

Ladies what should I do or say or not do and say that may hinder his progress. I just don't want to fuck this up! Advice?

Attend a meeting of your own with others like you just to gain some more insight. It will help. I'm very happy for you.

Tell him you are proud of him and glad he's getting help. Tell him if there is anything you can do to help him you will try. Just let him know you support him.

I am so happy too! I know I shouldn't hold my breath yet because he has quit before but this is the first time he has been to a meeting and I hope this is a sign.

Get thee to alanon.

Praying for the best for all of you, and health here on out.  I remember you and your story.  Thrilled he's making steps!

Go to one. I've gone with my mother. She started drinking after all the kids moved out. Anyways, when I'm home I tag along. Everyone is really wonderful no need to be nervous or anything. She's been sober for 8yrs now :)
