toddler freaks out and throws it.

toddler tries to flush it down the toilet.

My son has the Nook HD+. It is just like a tablet. I bought insurance on it. I can throw it out the window or run it over with the car and they will replace it.

Hell no. I'm really having trouble getting my 7 year-old one. She asked flipping Santa for one, I am now researching the most child friendly one I can find. She is NOT getting the iPad she asked for.

My grandfather wanted to get 4 year old DD a kindle this year and I managed to talk him into getting her the knock off version of it. She'll still have a crap ton of apps on it, and I think it even has the APP store on it as well, but it was about $75 cheaper than the Kindle and it was all I could talk him down to.

My toddler already knows how to take care of stuff. He's had an iPod touch for a year and its in perfect shape. I'm not even sure where my iPod is...He would be a great candidate for a tablet.
