How do you know?

That other post got me thinking... I've always kind of thought I was a sociopath. Some of the signs fit me to a tee. Some things i do for instant gratification without thinking or caring about the consequences, especially things involving money or sexual things. I just wonder how do you know if you're a sociopath?

For some instances and some people i am over empathetic. I even help when it puts me or my husband in a bind. If someone is physically hurting I feel empathy. But then there are things that hurt people that I do and I don't care because getting what I want is more important to me. And I'm a good liar.

I've been but i am never completely honest. Nobody knows me. I don't even know me.

Saying you're empathetic automatically disqualifies you on that diagnosis.
