will the alcohol cook off?

we're having a Christmas brunch....I wanted to make hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps...cooked for hours In the crock pot. My friend is pregnant...almost due...Will the alcohol cook off enough for her to have some??

Not if you're using the lower setting.

I would make the hot cocoa and let people add the schnapps if they want them.

Eh, it will probably be okay. But if you're worried, just have everyone else drink it first, wait a little while. See if any of them catch a buzz.

It's possible it doesn't, but I don't think it would be much alcohol in it, she can have one.

Most of it will evaporate, but not totally all of it.  How much schnapps does into it?  She should be fine.

6 12oz cans of evaporated milk....1/3 cup chocolate liquor...1/4 cup schnapps..12 oz dark chocolate chips..
