Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

I'm homeless with 3 kids.

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

My husband and I were having marital problems and he moved out,
and the kids and I got evicted from the apartment, so we went and stayed at my parents.
Two weeks ago is when the kids and I started living with my parents.
Well my husband and I are trying to work things out and go to counseling,
and my parents aren't happy about that. They accused me of leaching off of them
and being a tool of the devil. So basically we are getting kicked out.
We have no where to go and I can't stay with my husband and his parents
because his parents hate me. What can we do? There are no local shelters
in this area and I don't have any friends in this area either.

Facts :

I am able to get to the internet, because my parents have it at their home.
My husband was laid off of his job and yes, has been looking.
I am on strict bed rest. I have nurses that come to me.
I have to take care of my own children though because I do not get any help from family.
I am not in the hospital because I have in home health.
I live in a rual town.
The closest shelter is indeed 50+ miles away, and I have no money, thus I cannot get there.
Many churches I have called have a cut off of funds that they can assist people with. I unfortunately
didn't make it in time.
My husband and I are in counseling, and they come to me with in home health.
Are we done trying to poke holes in my situation? I am just trying to find a place to safely
take my kids.
I am not asking for money, or pity, just some info that any one can think of.
I have never been in this situation before, nor really needed help, so I've never gotten welfare,
or anything like that. I guess times have changed though.

I'd try calling your local churches. Our local RLDS church helped us. Many might want you to "donate" your time to pay it back but they may be able to help.

You are no better. You are telling her what to do without reading everything and being Anon.... Think before you speak, or in this case, read first.

So it's ok for her to mope on about not being able to have a home for her kids while she sits on her lazy ass posting  ANON messages on websites??  GET UP, GET OUT, GET ON THE MOVE GIRLIE!

Quoting Anonymous:

Im sure the internet costs really compare to the cost of living. She needs a phone to get shit done. SMDM........

Internet costs money...whether its on the phone or on a computer.  Priorities.

Regardless of how each set of grandparents feel about you or your husband, how can they let their grand kids be homeless? What a bunch of shitheads. I don't know, hon. That's awful. I hope you figure something out. Hopefully someone has some advice. :(

Where does it say strict bedrest?? She just said she can't work due to complications. Wow....really people. Learn to read!

Quoting Anonymous:

How are you able to attend counseling while on "strict bedrest" thats preventing you from taking care of your living needs?

Quoting Anonymous:

I am pregnant with our last child and not able to work due to complications in the pregnancy, and he lost his job because he was laid off. I'm kind of screwed both ways. And yes, I'm working it out with the man who "tore apart my house", but, some people change. We have both been going to counseling together and working out our problems. At the moment I have phone and internet because I am AT my parents house.

Every town I've ever heard of has a womans or childrens shelter within a 50 mile radius. I guess I don't understand how hers doesn't. But, there are many options out there to help. Police, churches, some charity organizations, etc.

she lives in a small rural town, and a lot don't have shelters.

Really? Ours don't last I knew of. O.o

But yeah, she should be contacting churches, her local 211 number to see if they can help, etc.

Maybe she just doesn't know of any shelters. I know the closet one here is an hour, we have none in our small town either.

Has your husband always provided you with a great life or have you also worked to earn a living?

The point of my question is to see if you would or could have empathy towards OP

Quoting Anonymous:

My bills are paid, my home is gorgeous, I'm eating cookies I just baked, my husband is at work, kids at school.  If I was HOMELESS with 3 kids I would be looking for work, or a house, not doing what I'm doing.

Quoting Anonymous:

You are on the internet being bitchy and posting ANON. Don't you have something better to do? Get movin.
