How do you manage your episodes?

it used to be horrible, my anger was outragous rage. so when i feel myself starting to get the slightest bit mad, i stop and think about if its even WORTH putting my energy into. Also when it comes to depression i start working out and thinking about positive thing:]

<3 My Bff of 23 years is also an unmedicated bi-polar. She didn't like the weight gain, lack of sex, and the way she always just felt the same no over anything. i personally missed her laugh the year she was medicated.. Its nice to have her back.. <3

That's awesome that you can step back and take an inventory of your emotions. Good for you! I went through a some ups and a lot of downs before I was able to find a balance. I am now on meds but it took stepping outside of myself and realizing how irrational I was being to be able to get to this point. I probably could have managed is on my own but after having my dd I decided it was best for everyone if I got a little help. Ha.
