***this is a serious questions so please, if you have nothing valuable or nice to say, just move on to the next post.
My grandmother usually gives me a check to buy the kids Christmas gifts - I know what they want and it saves her the time from having to shop (she is 90!!).
This year, she either forgot that is what we do or she just doesn't want to do that anymore. I really don't know to be honest. Anyway, she picked out some kind of alligator that grows to be 36 inches long if you leave it in water for my 2 year old.
First of all, I think he's too young for that. He won't understand what we are doing and once its grown, what do you do with it? Its going to be a soaking wet mess. Plus, he doesn't even like alligators. He likes fire trucks and trains and balls.
Do I tell her no thanks, I don't think its an appropriate gift? Or do I just play nice and tell her, sure that's great! Its not like she is going to be around to see him NOT playing with it.
