Driving home from picking my oldest up from school all the sudden this little boy, probably first or second grade, came running from behind a snow bank. I hit my breaks right away but the roads are icy and I started sliding so I swerved and hit a snow bank, hard enough to dent my car. I missed the little boy by a couple feet. He waved and ran on. I sat there and cried. I am so glad I missed him! He just appearance out of no where. I was right at the intersection when I saw him. It is a miracle I didn't kill him.
Now... I am thinking I probably need to replace my car seats and fix my car, and I am pretty sure Insurance isn't going to cover it.
At least everyone is okay.

Scary!
Don't claim it if it's minimal damage. It would be considered a collision and your rates will increase.

You don't need to replace carseats because of a dent. But your insurance should cover the repairs.
