Spongebob Squarepants.

My question is, do you let your toddlers watch Spongebob Squarepants?

Well my son is 2 almost 3 and I have done some research on that show and they came up with that kids who watch Spongebob Squarepants become slower then children who read or watch shows like Dora, scooby-doo or anything like that.

My in-laws have a problem because I won't let him watch it and their over grandkids do. When they put it on for the rest of them I will take him out of the room.

Dd watches it. She's extremely smart. She also watches the interactive Nick Jr shows.

 I don't even let my almost 10 year old watch that crap.

Please, though, post this supposed research that shows that it makes kids slow. I would love to see that.

I think it is what you teach your children about the show, not what they watch

I hate spongebob....I try not to let them watch it but I don't freak out if they do

My 6-year-old watches it. He reads at a 4th grade level and is in Gifted.

DD is 2, SD is 4, and SS is 6. They are not allowed to watch Spongebob. DH thought I was crazy and didn't agree with me until I got online and found multiple links showing why Spongebob shouldn't be watched by kids. He agrees with me now.

My kiddo will watch it, but she doesnt really care for tv.
