So today us my oldest ds birthday, I sent a text to everyone in our family (grandparents, aunts, uncles) so they could call him and wish him happy birthday. Is turn seven today. With in minutes my in laws call, which awesome. This will totally make him feel special. A few minutes after that my younger sister texts me saying "oh I didnt know HAPPY BIRTHDAY JXXXXX!!!!!"

What seven year old wants a birthday text on their moms phone. I kind of think thats rude. I think a birthday text from one adult ti another is fine but to a young child? I feel it mean more and such if you called them.

Am I wrong?

Young people don't make phone calls, they text. I think you're looking too much into it.
