Has your child's school done anything about security?

I'm hoping that the lack of communication and update on security procedures from my kids' school is because we are already out for the rest of the year. My best friend's son's school has emailed the parents about the shooting on Friday, and has police officers stationed at school for the rest of the week until their break. 

Has anyone else's school addressed security issues?

Yes they have there will be police on the grounds before school,,during all recess..and at dismissal at the elementary schools and our high school has always had on duty officers all day at the school.
